I picked up this set of T-Plates at the same time as I purchased my first Mini-Z and this was one of the first modifications I made. I followed Mark's video where he walks you through the process of buying a Mini-Z, buying his Mini-Z Racer Starter Pack and installing the upgrades that come with that pack, including the T-Plates. You can find the video at this address and if you want to jump straight to the T-Plate part, you can find it starting at 5:58: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6q-OEleoLDU&list=PLQ8eCQdRiXZc&index=9&t=77s)
Using the above video as my guide, I was able to install the T-Plate (I went with the medium firmness to start, as I can always go more firm or less firm once I drive the car) with no real issues. I did have to use some force to get the oem T-Plate off the frame with a little rocking back and forth with a twist motion. I did have to use a hobby knife to get the cross part of the T-Plate lifted off the engine mount, so if you are having issues removing it, find something small, sharp and flat and then use that to gently wedge up the T-Plate. I also HIGHLY recommend, just as Mark recommends in the video above, to use a body reamer(sp) to slightly widen the holes on the T-Plate so it fits better on the tabs of the engine mount and sits flat. Once the T-Plate was in place I screwed in the screws (long ones against the chassis, short ones against the engine mount) and was done. Easy process to install from start to finish and happy with the end result.
One thing I did notice, is that the Carbon rear suspension plate set feels a bit more stiff/heavy than the Kyosho FRP rear suspension T-Plate that you can find on the MSM Vlog site here: https://msmvlog.com/products/kyosho-frp-rear-sus-plate-set-mm-lm-mr-03?utm_source=copyToPasteBoard&utm_medium=product-links&utm_content=web
Those are the white T-Plates that my buddy got and I helped him install his at the same time I installed mine. We passed both cars back and forth and both agreed that the carbon T-Plates feel more stiff while the white T-plates felt a little less stiff. Depending on your driving style, you might want a less stiff T-Plate and the white ones will work great. For me, I wanted a more firm feel and for my driving style, these carbon T-Plates fit the bill and definitely helped me competitive in my very first Noob/Driver/50% class racing I did. I podiumed both races using the Mini-Z, the Mini-Z racer starter pack, and the carbon T-Plates I bought from here. The car ran great and for my driving style, had the perfect amount of body roll for the track I raced on.
