The Team Associated RC28R.1 1/28 2WD Electric On-Road Competition Team Kit is a compact competition-oriented on-road car designed around a tunable chassis and straightforward setup. Its suspension geometry, torsion side links, center shock, and adjustable rear pod provide multiple ways to tune the car for different track conditions. The updated chassis and bulkhead create additional room for wider batteries and electronics while maintaining a low center of gravity. With the included clear Radbody Mako X body, V2 wheels, and multiple setup components, the RC28R.1 is built to deliver competition-focused performance in a small package.

About the RC28R.1 Team Kit

Suspension & Tuning Options

The RC28R.1 uses torsion-style side links in soft, medium, and hard options to act as the side spring, eliminating the need for a conventional side spring while providing different setup choices. The threaded aluminum center shock allows adjustment of droop and spring preload, while the side damper tubes and adjustable rear pod roll center inserts provide additional control over roll characteristics. The two-piece rear pod uses Factory Team carbon fiber shims for quick axle height adjustments to accommodate different tire diameters and ride heights.

Updated Chassis & Bulkhead

The updated steel chassis plate accommodates battery packs up to twenty-four millimeters wide while providing additional mounting space and maintaining a low center of gravity. The revised design also reduces chassis scrub, while the updated center bulkhead and front bulkhead shim work with the Factory Team carbon fiber upper arm brace to provide a more refined front-end setup. Upper arm options provide 0.5 or 1° of camber and 2 or 4° of caster, giving builders additional control over the car's front-end geometry.

Mako X Body & Wheels

The RC28R.1 includes a Radbody Mako X body along with hard plastic and polycarbonate body mounting options. Its included V2 wheels are compatible with optional front wheel flanges, allowing the steering feel to be tuned through the front wheel setup. A universal front bumper is also included, completing the body and exterior components supplied with the kit.
