Build a scale RC trail truck with Mark Santa Maria at the 2023 MSM Summer Camp - Traxxas TRX4!

THIS IS THE FIRST MSM TRX4 CAMP EVER! This camp is designed for intermediate/expert enthusiasts, those who are not new to the radio controlled hobby, want to get into scale trail trucks, or want to build another. Build a Traxxas TRX4 trail truck/rock crawler with other enthusiasts in a fun and collaborative enviroment. 

With guidance from professionals in the hobby along with help from friends in attendance, you will leave MSM Summer Camp with a full understanding of how every system of a RC truck functions — as well as an idea of how to personalize and tweak your own vehicle. Once you complete the camp, you will have a trail ready TRX4 scale truck.

The camp with take place Monday - Friday from 6pm-9pm.

This camp was created to:

• Teach the fundamentals of building a hobby grade radio controlled car kit.
• Work with professionals in the hobby to build the components of rc cars including suspension, shocks, differentials, and more.
• Learn how and why certain components of the car function the way they do.
• Experience the relationships and camaraderie within the amazing RC community.

• On the last day of camp, we will hit the trails! (time permitting)
• Once you complete the camp, you will have a trail ready TRX4 with a full understanding of how to maintain your RC car!

• 12 hours of classroom instruction on building, pro tips, and tuning with Mark and MSM family

FAQs

Where will the summer camp take place?

The summer camp will be held inside the Traxxas Retail store in McKinney located at 6250 Traxxas Way McKinney, TX 75070

Is this just for kids?

Not this camp. This will likely be mostly adults.

Will Mark actually be at the camp?

Yes! Mark will be the main instructor with several pro drivers and rc experts to assist.

Do I get to take home my car?

Yes! You will get to keep everything that is included in the camp when the camp is complete.

Can I bring my own tools?

Yes! But if you don't have them, they are included.

Can I upgrade my car during the build?

Absolutely, One of the cool things about the camp being in the Traxxas store is all the cool Traxxas upgrades will be available for sale!

Does the camp provide dinner?

We do not plan on providing a full dinner during the camp however snacks and drinks will be provided.

I am traveling from out of town, what else is there to do in the area?

There are several tourist spots around Mckinney. Dallas is about 30 mins away and other neighboring cities include Frisco, The Colony, and Plano.
